Colours*

Rich and full-bodied, our colours are carefully prepared to bring out the natural grain of the wood. Durable, our oils let the wood breathe while providing the desired effect.

Colours can be mixed to create unique shades.

For a slightly deeper colour, apply a second coat after 6 to 18 hours.

For a lighter colour, mix with Brio Zero Colourless.

The colour 100 – Colourless provides a wet finish and highlights the wood grain.

The colour 101 – Natural has a slightly whitened appearance. It helps maintain the whiteness of white woods (pine, maple, cherry, spruce, beech, aspen, etc.). It is strongly recommended to perform a test beforehand on open-grain and coloured woods (oak, walnut, mahogany, elm, etc.).

*Colours are for guidance only. Actual colours may vary from screen to screen.

Use

  1. Apply at a temperature above 10 °C.
  2. The wood must be free from any previous finish and meticulously sanded with 150 grit sandpaper.
  3. Dust off using a vacuum cleaner.
  4. After sanding, it is recommended to clean the wood with PRATO PREP to remove dust particles, reduce tannins, and enhance colour intensity.
  5. Perform a test of the product on a hidden surface and let it dry for 24 hours to validate the result, as it may vary depending on the type of wood used.
  1. Thoroughly mix with a stick before and during application.
  2. Apply generously until the wood is saturated using a STAIN PAD, roller, or staining brush.
  3. After 5 minutes, if needed, even out the surface with a brush to remove any excess product.
  4. Clean tools and accessories used with soapy water.
  5. Allow 6 to 18 hours to dry.
  6. Optional: For the application of a second coat, if more than 24 hours have passed since the first application, sand using 150 grit sandpaper before repeating all previous steps.

Soapy water

For regular cleaning : SECONDO CLEAN

To revive shine and enhance protection : SECONDO MAINTENANCE

For intensive cleaning (degreasing, deep cleaning), as needed : SECONDO PREP

The greatest advantage of oil in wood treatment is its ease of maintenance and repair. The key to well-maintained oiled wood is prevention. The longer the interval between treatments, the longer the process will take. Once SECONDO CLEAN and SECONDO MAINTENANCE are no longer sufficient to keep your oiled wood in good condition, it’s a sign that it’s time to consider applying a new coat of oil.

BRIO ZERO requires no further treatment for a long time, unless there are stains or damage to small localized areas.

For areas in generally good condition (with stains or small localized damage):

  1. Sand the damaged localized area with 150-grit sandpaper.
  2. Reapply BRIO ZERO finishing oil to the sanded area following the product’s instructions.

As needed, within 8 to 15 years:

  1. Clean the wood with SECONDO PREP.
  2. Apply a coat of BRIO ZERO following the product’s instructions.
  3. No sanding or stripping required.

Protect from freezing. Do not use this product if it has frozen.

Keep the product in a sealed container at a temperature between 10°C and 25°C for storage. Under these conditions, the product will maintain its quality for at least 5 years.

Wipe off any liquid residue before recycling this container.

Consult your municipality for proper disposal of any remaining product.

Keep out of reach of children.
